Cattolica is a nice seaside town, its unquestionable beauty has earned her the nickname " Queen of the Adriatic.
The city centre is full of shops and trendy bars, while the seafront is lined with bathing establishments at the forefront and with an eye for families with children.
Particularly striking is the Darsena, the harbour area is lined with restaurants overlooking the beach.
Near the Handy Sea is located the largest aquarium of the Adriatic coast: l’Aquarium of Cattolica. Divided into four thematic tours home to various species of animals, not only marine.
In the nearby Riccione you can find the water park no. 1 in Italy: Aquafan and the Family Experience Park Overseas. The first is suitable for young children or adults, the second, most famous for the animal shows, promises excitement for all ages.
Finally, in Rimini are located Fiabilandia and Italy in Miniature. The first is dedicated to small children, while the second is also appreciated by couples and families.
From Cattolica are within easy reach of the villages that populate the hinterland. For example, San Leo is home to two churches, a piazza, a fortress and a picturesque rocca, enough and more grounds to visit.
Gradara , with its castle and its magical atmosphere, is a charming medieval village which is nice to get lost among the paths that line the main street.
Or, you can visit San Marino and indulge in a shopping spree. Once you have finished your shopping spree, you can relax admiring the breathtaking view from the top of mount Titano, where is located the oldest Republic in the world, embraces the whole of the coast.
